Sounds like your indicator relay box has failed or has come loose Roll Eyes
Need to find out the location with your hand book wiring diagram(Vehicle makers put them in all sorts of places)Plug in to replace Smile
Price to replace is cheap. But get it from a Motor shop not a Mercedes dealer and save yourself paying double prices Red Face
BTW Are your Hazard flashers working? this is a different relay, but uses most of the same wiring as your direction indicators (if it was a wiring problem these will not be working also Smile)

The turn relay retails at $32
There is a chance that the relays are both ok and the fault lies in the turn switch itself Roll Eyes This is about $55 to replace
But get a knowledgeable friend to help you check this out, the possiblity is good that this has gone Kaput Frown
Go to a car breakers and get 1 off a scrapper for about $5 together with the turn relay box (remove them yourself )Cool
Pictures and price list here if you want to buy new? or copy

TC
The poster says they have checked that and they are intact Smileunless... they have a high amp fuse in the slot Red Face Should be about a 10 or 15 amp fuse at most, will be marked on the fusebox cover

thank you bedstor. with the information that you gave me, i was able to eliminate several possibilities. i found another site, like this one but it is just auto repair(bentley publishers) and some one had the wiring diagram plus has had the same problem on his car. he told me to check the solder on the hazard switch in the console. as soon as i moved it, the flashers started working and the turn signals. thank you so much for all your help. you are always a tremendous help. thank you again

Without the Workshop book Both of these items are hard to Locate
However....Since the Topic was made This forum Posting tells you where to look for both of these Smile I think you'll need a "small hand" (Have you a child?) or grab, to pull out the Indicator relay behind the ashtray and you'll have to match the type # on the casing
