Ok, I've got some great songs on my computer, but the thing is they can only be played through Real Player and they are in Real Player format too. They wont add to iTunes, so i can't get them onto my iPod through there, and I can't burn them onto a CD through Nero, or Real Player (something to do with a Multimedia card for the latter) which if I was able to do that, I could just burn back onto the computer using Windows Media Player so the songs would be in WMA format which can be converted to MP3 through iTunes.
Any ideas how I can get these great songs into a format that can be converted through iTunes and so go onto my iPod? ************************************************************** 01-28-05, 11:38 PM jusork Do you normally use Windows Media Player? You can play MP3 format files in Windows Media Player. Just open up the Windows Media Player, go to Tools, options, click on the file types tab, and check MP3. Press okay, and the MP3s should play in Windows Media. ************************************************************** 01-29-05, 03:57 PM Matiqua My MP3 files work fine on my Windows Media Player, what I'm wondering is if there is a way to get music that is in Real Player format onto my iPod, because nothing I do so far is working ************************************************************** 01-29-05, 04:26 PM bedstor Matt I have posted your problem here . and download the program, then install it. Then return to the page and click on the link for 'codec downloads'. Scroll down to 'other codecs' and download and install the codec for Real Audio.
You may need to do a restart after this, I don't remember. Anyway, just click on the icon for dBpowerAMP Music Converter & navigate to the file(s) you want to convert. Alternately, right-click the file(s) and there will be a conversion option in your right-click context menu.
Real Audio files are generally encoded at a bitrate of 128k. ************************************************************** 01-30-05, 08:57 AM Matiqua thanks ************************************************************** 01-30-05, 06:56 PM Matiqua
