Money Orders
How do you go about tracking a money order? Like if you mailed one out to pay a bill and 2 weeks went by and they still hadn't gotten it. Do they track it or can you, or both?
I get my M.O.'s from the post office. Now, I know you use the serial numbers that are on the money order, but do you call the post office and they track it or what? Or is it the job of the person you originally sent the money order to?
Hope this made sense...
Thanks

Calling the post office would be good--they should be able to track it right from there.
You can also contact the post office at
www.usps.com and get an email back about the issue--however, in my experience its a lot faster and easier to just call the branch office you went through.

thank you very much

do you know if the company, starts tracking it too?(the compnay you were origianlly sending the money order too)
the reason I ask is becauseI have the nasty habit of losing my carbon copy. So, that means I do not have the serial number. So, if something happened and they never received the MO after I mailed it, I would not have a number to give to them if they needed it to track it themselves...I hope this makes sense...
