TURKEY COOKING TIP
NC mention in a post how someone cooked their turkey breast down by mistake....
Wellllllll, theres nothing too wrong in that if, I say there, IF, you only cook it breast down for the first half of cooking time...
It will come out really, really moist and delicious....
I've done up to a 16 or so pounder that way....Any bigger, it will take a couple of people to turn it....Dosen't hurt to have an extra couple hands anyway....

I'm gonna cook mine standing up, mounted on a can of Foster's Lager full of fresh rosemary & sage! They call this "Beer can Turkey". Do an internet search, I'm sure you'll see many variations.

Yes, I have seen recipes for "drunk turkey" and "drunk chicken" before. I make drunk chicken all of the time. It comes out tender and juicy as well as flavorful. It doesn't have a beer taste at all when done. It makes it taste really great though. I have found that the taller cans work better for the turkey though, and I always make sure to drink part of it first so it doesn't make a huge mess.
