I was assigned women's suffrage for an inquiry research topic, which I am excited about, but I need to know triumph and tragedy that happened because of it. My triumph is that women gained the right to vote, but what should my tragedy be, other than that they couldn't vote in the first place?

The tragedy is that women's suffrage is not universal. Methodical oppression of women is
still all too prevalent in much of the world. And in some cases, e.g. Islamic countries which were once egalitarian but are now moving toward extreme fundamentalism, it is growing worse.
