Goldwyn was a wonderful source of quotes. Once, when asked by an assistant if she she throw away some really old files, he told her it was OK, but to "be sure and make copies first." He also said that "An oral contract isn't worth the paper it's written on."

I suspect that this quotation is one of the dozens of "Goldwynisms" that Sam never said. Can you possibly imagine the phrase "To hell with the cost" ever passing over Sam Goldwyn's lips?
