You remembered, SR! I bet that Old Seneca would be proud of his former pupil. Seneca (circa 3 BC-65 AD) was a Roman philosopher, statesman and dramatist, tutor and advisor to Nero. From Cordoba, he studied law and Greek poetry, and aroused the jealousy of Caligula. Seneca wisely moved away from Rome, only to be called back by Agrippina, to tutor her son, Nero. While serving as a advisor and calming influence on Nero, Seneca prospered. However, after he retired, in 62 AD, his influence waned, and in 65 AD, he was accused of plotting against Nero, and committed suicide. Among his play are: The Trojan Women, Oedipus, Medea, The Mad Hercules, The Phoenician Women, Phaedra, Agamemnon and Thyestes.
