Please help this is my first time doing this.
I am doing an experiment on Heat of Reaction. In my experimnent i am doing part a heat of solution of solid NaOH and part B Heat of Neutralization of HCl and NaOH solutions. You can see my experiment on http://www.siraze.net/chemistry/sezennur/subjects/exper...eat_of_reactions.pdf
I have all my data but I dont know how to do the calculations for part A #3 or partB part 5.You can use example temps to explain it to me and do the calculations thanks. If you know the exact Heat of Neutralization of HCl and NaOH solution please tell me.

Your instructor has laid out the experiments pretty well and straight forward.
In your section A the results are found in 3 steps. You're given the mass of the water..you've measured Tf and Ti.. That heat capacity of the water 4.2 J/gC

The 2nd section you're calculating Joules /gram
you were to have used 2 grams.

In section 3 you're figuring how many Joules of energy are released as if you had 1 mole or 40 grams of NaOH. And reporting the results in kJ instead of Joules..
You've asked the question in the form of 'Do my homework for me' You may wish to publish the calculations performed for review.

In section 5
The question is not quite clear but I read it as find the heat of neutralization of sodium hydroxide. The value of 0.050 is not we'll labeled for units.. you have 0.050 liters of 1M NaOH so you have 0.050 Moles.

good luck with your assignment.
