I drove past Roland Garros, home of the French Open, the other day. Things are well under way for the opening day in four weeks time, with hospitality tents and walkways already being installed. It just shows how much effort goes into organising a major event like this one - it's not just a case of sweeping the court surfaces and doing a bit of dusting. And the dismantling process takes almost as long, believe me. (Just though someone might be interested in how things are progressing.)

It's raining again in Paris just now, Bob, and Roger's being held at 5-5 in the opening set. So sad when this ghappens to a such a great tournament - and one with a new centre cort too. It rained a lot at Wimbledon last year too, as I recall.

Don't they have a retractable roof on Centre Court (and one planned for No 1) at Wimbledon now? Anything, at any cost, to stop Sir Cliff Richard singing to the crowd during rainstorms Big Grin (I wouldn't know, myself. I only go to Wimbledon LTCC for the croquet Wink)
