Well, I've not seen him on live televison for a while, but I do have to say that Tiger Woods is a sensation. And that's been the case throughout these past few days over there in Arizona. He seems to have it all, and he deserves it. The final is tomorrow. Is anyone here following the WGC Match Play Championship in Tucson?

Yes.Early on,Tiger Woods three down with five holes to play. His poor opponent thought that the best answer was to be sure to keep even par and win '3 and 2' or '2 and 1' or 'I hole' or even 'one up'.Trouble with Woods is he likes a challenge and plays better under pressure. So he goes birdie, birdie, birdie, which wipes out the three holes lead, followed by an eagle at the next to go one up and holds on to win at the 18th.
(I see him every year at the Open and he's more impressive live than on TV, if you can imagine that!)
Ah - a kindred spirit! I expect you saw his performance in yesterday's final, Fred, where he beat Stewart Cink 8 and 7. Almost flawless in parts. I've never seen him live. I used to go to the Trophée Lancôme before the tournament was stopped and had high hopes of his entering the last time it was held; but he played in America instead. My loss.

Hasn't he just, Bob? Now, let's both work on Fred to get us tikets at Royal Birkdale for this year's Open... Seriously though, I'm not free this July. Maybe next year when Tiger will be the defending champion again

Why? You can turn up and buy tickets at the gates.
If you want a reserved seat at the 18th green on all days or any day you normally have to book in advance, and you must do so for the Composite tickets (all week :reserved seat at the 18th, private Composite ticket-holders' marquee and restaurant with bar plus optional car park pass )
P.S. May see you at Turnberry (Ayrshire) in 2009 , Colin
