It is common to hear the announcer at big American- backed fights yell 'Let's get ready to rumble!" with distinctive cadences. So who said it first and in this style ?

The habit is catching: the announcer at the World Darts Championship imitates the cadences of the American original but bathetically (if you're not a darts fan, that is) changes 'rumble' to 'play darts !' At least it hasn't reached the World Chess Championship yet, but give it time
