I've never been a big opera fan, but I know that my sister adored Beverly Sills (and was inspired by her), so I was saddened when I heard this since I knew my sister would be. Rest in Peace to a great voice.

A real trooper who said she learned to sing even when sick with a cold. A big no-no for most singers who are paranoid about damaging their instrument.

She was an amazing singer and person.

How many knew her heartaches? Two children. The daughter became deaf after an illness. The son was autistic and needed to be institutionlized. RIP brave soul.

Rest in Peace. I remember seeing her on PBS as a child, and I thought her name was "Beverly Hills", but my mom corrected me.
