'Swan song' means last public act, a final performance or work , as a farewell to a career or profession. The saying comes from a song of legendary beauty said to be sung only once by a swan during it's lifetime, when it's dying.

Can't be Jenny. Look we've all seen The Dying Swan performed ; lovely melody by Saint Saens, but singing? You've got to be joking. My dad even saw that Pavlova do it once and he said her lips never even moved never mind about singing.

Big Grin Fred, you are priceless!
At least Pavlova could dance. You ever heard of the Northern Ballet Company? More like a herd of elephants clumbering around on stage.
They turned Swan Lake into something from 'You've been framed'!!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin
