Hello all. I am definitely a newbie to canning so please be forgiving and patient with me. =)
I was wondering if there would be any reason why I wouldn't be able to can just any recipe that I come accross for spagetti sauce or marinera sauce? For example, lets say I have a recipe that I try and find that I love it, but the recipe doesnt list any canning instructions. Would it be perfectly ok to can my next batch?
I would welcome any tips or recipes that you would like to pass on. Thanks in advance for your help. ______________________

So she will cook it and then fill small tupperware containers with the sauce and freeze. Then when she wants to prepare a dinner for 2-4 she just pulls out a container, thaws the sauce, heats it, and serves Big Grin
She does the same for chili.

The next day, take the bag out of the container and put the frozen bag back in the freezer. This way, you don't have a container tied up in the freezer, and you can still stack things in the freezer. You also don't have tomato sauce stains on your plastic containers.
