2 cups chopped strawberries
4 cups sugar
1 package powdered pectin
3/4 cups water

Combine strawberries and sugar. Let stand about 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
Combine pectin and water in a small saucepan.
Bring to boil. Boil about 1 minute stirring constantly. Add pectin and water to fruit mixture. Stir 3 minutes. Put in containers and let it set on counter for a day so jam sets up. Store in Freezer.

You are not processing the fruit or neccessarily putting the fruit in jars that are sterilized. You can put the jam in ziplock containers or used chip dip containers, cottage cheese containers. Whatever. Therefore it must be stored in the freezer. I have also tried it with cantalope, grapes, apricots, etc. It's all delicious.
