Vegas, Baby! The Riviera to be precise....they were great, I had as much input as I wanted to have and they took care of everything I didn't want to deal with! No Elvii in sight, a nice ceremony with all the elements we wanted, the flowers were perfect, the pianist very good(That I had to learn later when I watched the tape...all I could hear as I was walking down the aisle was the blood rushing in my ears and a frantic prayer that I not fall down ) a wonderful reception in a beautiful suite and pictures so good we ended up buying the entire package. Total cost...including clothes, food, flowers, photography, invitations and the wedding itself....under $4,000

Sagus and I had a beautiful wedding also. We were married in a small Lutheran church 1/2 block from my home. We had a lovely grey and burgancy and dusty rose color theme, my sister and I made my heavy satin dress with an over-dress of Lace. It was very pretty. We paid $3000 total for all wedding and honeymoon costs.

To be completely honest, I hated my wedding..we got married on very little money and our daughter was already 4 months old. I had gotten a bad perm and ripped my contacts so I had to wear my glasses. I looked terrible!
Hubby forgot to make honeymoon reservations so the first 6 hours of honeymoon were spent looking for a place to stay....
I hope we can renew our vows sometime....some place romantic

we had an outdoor wedding, that was supposed to be in fall colours, but nature had other plans, and for the first time since i can remember, the middle of september here DIDNT have gold and red, it was all green.
if i could do it again, it would be in fall colours, in the mountains, or in ireland.
other than the colours not behaving, it was great.

In an oak grove, with family and close friends, Nothing too grand, nor too cheap - preferably on one of those days where the weather is just so and the sunlight reminds you of youthful summer days when you thought that that day would go on forever. It would be a mix of Catholic Communion and jumping over the broom stick - If Bush stays in office and succeeds in his plans to amend the constitution, it will be in Canada where we will be fresh new Canadian Citizens - 'cause if the constitution is amended one more time I can not bear being an American for one day further. Actually I am no longer proud to be an American, kind of ashamed of that now days.... No, nobody wears a white wedding gown in my dream - besides both of us would look rather silly in such

David, I've seen your picture and believe you could pull it off much better than did Dennis Rodman! The Mrs. and I had a rather special wedding - no pressure, and just a touch of logistics planning. We eloped. She went through her normal Monday morning routine at her apartment in Atlanta and dressed in her normal work clothes so that even her roommate wouldn't know, then drove to Charlotte. We met two very trusted friends, who served as witnesses, at the courthouse, where we paid fifty bucks and were promptly married by Judge...I kid you not...Huey Lewis. After a couple of drinks at a hotel bar as a reception, we drove to the beautiful North Carolina mountains (calling family and friends along the way) and stayed at Gideon's Ridge Inn, a B&B with no telephones and perhaps the most peaceful spot this side of heaven. I remember and cherish every minute of our wedding day and honeymoon. It was right for us and would do it all over again with her in a second.

Terry and I are gettin' hitched at her brother's place in Marine City, MI--you're all invited, by the way... Marine City MapShe's wearing a peach dress her ma's making--I'm wearing my kilt--I hope we don't clash. Locally catered, ham and chicken, I think, but I'm bringing the haggis: http://www.caledoniankitchen.com/catalog/A quiet affair (except for the piper)--just the way we both want it.

We wanted to be pretty casual and cheap, yet tasteful, and I think we pulled it off. Basically, we had some ideas of how we wanted things, and since it was OUR wedding, we decided that anyone who didn't like our ideas could go screw. And that included several monstrous cousins. Oh, so sad. I had an off-white satin-and-velour Gothic dress from Hot Topic, red roses in my hair to match my red rose bouquet. My husband (-to-be, at that point), his best man, my best woman, and our fathers had matching tuxes, but with different vests. Very low-key, very small wedding party. We were married outside at a gazebo on the party house property, located in a park. It was fall and the leaves were gorgeous. I walked down the aisle to Vivaldi. We wrote our own vows (none of that "obey" or "'til death do us part" crap) and were married by a Wiccan priestess that I know. It was a short ceremony, and then lots of partying! Mmm... the food was delicious! And we entered the dining area to "The Imperial March," and danced our first dance to "Angel" by Aerosmith. We had chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, and our wedding glasses were beer steins. It was really perfect, just the way I'd hoped. It couldn't have turned out better.
