wow.. you don't leave much time to get anything or find things in 5 days!

You can do a theme party depending on whether you want to go to that extreme.. say a "Tropical Vacation" with the palms, hulas, margaritas etc. BBQ with a pig roast, and such sorts of finger foods of fruit, etc.

You don't mention if you even have a place/room/whatever reserved to HAVE this party or how many are invited. Can you provide a bit more information about this and what sort of outlay (expenses) you are wanting/willing to do?

Hi Sher,
Maybe I'm being cynical, but my gut reaction is that margarehi is going to get some great advice shortly, suggesting he visits a web site full of "remarkable" ideas. Smile

As Sherasi said, five days certainly doesn’t leave a lot of time for planning. Hopefully you have already chosen your wedding party, sent invitations, booked a venue, selected a caterer, etc. Those things must usually be taken care of months in advance, if not years (depending on the venue).
The important thing is not to have a wedding that is “remarkable” and “unforgettable” to your guests, but to have one that is perfect and memorable for yourself. You do not have to impress anyone, you only have to be happy with it. It is a shame that today’s wedding industry has made everyone feel their wedding needs to be bigger and more outrageous than the last. A wedding really loses its specialness and intimacy if there is too much going on.

I suspect dg’s suspicions may be correct -especially taking into account the curious grammar, the dreaded “u” instead of “you” while using a lovely accent aigu in “décor.”

That said, I think an amusement park would be a fantastic place for a last-minute outrageous special wedding. Big Grin

I , too, think that dg is correct. In fact, I was waiting much of the night for the follow-up post. (I couldn't sleep, and was in a creative mood for editing.) I suspect now that we won't see that knight in shining armor ride up with the fantastic web site to the rescue.

Elexina,
I'm sure that you and Sher, like me, want people to be who they present themselves to be. I'm learning that, unfortunately, that isn't always the case.

Of course we also keep checking in because, in the event that the poster isn't genuine, we can have a chuckle at DG's creative editing.
I think I must accept the blame for possibly denying him the opportunity to do that this time. Big Grin

But ... but ..? What if I want to make my wedding party unforgettable? In 5 days? (At my age, I have no time to waste!!!) Does anyone know how can I arrange and décor my party?

Do I have to wait until some unknown stranger, oh, someone named, maybe Drusilla, a newbie to this site who just joined today, posts (in bad English) with a 1-click website miraculously tailored to my needs, some marvelous service provider in another city, nation, continent or planet? Who did the exact same service for Drusilla herself, and they surpassed all her fantasies as to what the perfect wedding party, elegantly décored, should be???

Well, do I ???

Or can the locals answer it? Giz, MrsS, Ami, Dancegirl, Elexina, Frankvan 'n' Steffie, and all the others whose judgment I know and trust?

I mean, if it were my problem, I would décor with rented card-tables covered with white linen, crystal candlesticks, crystal bowls filled with whatever grows locally this time of year, outdoors in Whytecliff Park

When under pressure, less is more.

And I would ask my favorite musical group The Houseboat Gang,
(who are always available on short notice) to select their favorite music and play.

And I would pick up a bunch of veggie plates and fruit salads and wine from the supermarket on my way to the do. And cheese and crackers.

All this could be arranged with just a few phonecalls. I'd spend the rest of the five days just hanging out. Cool

Hi,
Congratulation! It’s good to hear that you are getting married and you want to make your wedding party memorable.
I would refer a site cristallier.com where you can get help. I hope that you will find something that you like. They can simply provide you with the necessary supplies to make this night special, or a complete location for your festivities.
Good luck!

The Famous Polynesian Room

Our patio buffet is very popular in spring and fall, or our efficient servers will see to it that your wishes are carried out immediately.

The experienced staff in the Main Room is always helpful and aware of your needs.

You may hire your own favorite band, or rest assured that our house band can play any tune you request. Name entertainment may be available.

And, of course, covered parking for all our guests.

Don't forget! We cater to your location, too.

Damn, Babs, you’re good! Those are definitely some memorable and remarkable décor ideas! “Congratulation” on your sure-to-be-successful party!

Jeremy, welcome to Answerpool! How interesting that your first and so-far only post has been the perfect response to Margarehi’s first and so-far only post. What a happy coincidence! I am sure Margerhi will have a truly unforgettable last-minute Polynesian wedding, now, thanks to your kind link-filled post.

Dorian, I love you.

It is with regret that I have to inform all of you that the proposed wedding is off. A little background is necessary to understand this unfortunate event. Jeremy, margarehi, and someone named Abraham share a computer. They all joined AnswerPool the same day. Margarehi's e-mail address tells us that her name is Margaret, but her private profile clearly states that she is a female. Margarehi clearly has a gender identity crisis, and it is probably best that the wedding is at least postponed until she can get that resolved. It is also unclear who the intended groom was, Jeremy or Abraham. Perhaps both? Maybe they were going to move to Utah or, maybe Margarehi should give up her plans for the sex-change operation and the three of them should move to Massachusetts.

It's just a shame that three people in love can't find happiness. Whatever is this world coming to?

At least, Casa Crystal returned their $9.95 deposit.

Witnesses to the breakup say the discussions became quite heated before the final decision to part and go their separate ways:

"They argued all night
As to who had the right
To do what, and with which, and to whom."

I just got off the phone with a tearful Margarehi and it's not a good situation. It seems there are a few more people involved than we were told.

Margarehi was seeing both Abraham and Jeremy. Abraham was seeing Chris, who was also seeing Margarehi. Jeremy was seeing Terry, who was also seeing Margarehi. Terry had no relationship with Abraham or Chris. Chris had no relationship with Jeremy or Terry. Behind all their backs, Margarehi was seeing Pat, who also has a relationship with Terry and Chris, but not Abraham or Jeremy.

To make matters worse, they all lived in a former convent, which they bought together. (Tree would say, "Holy Moly" here.)

It gets worse. Margarehi's parents, Kelly and Kim, are coming in, with Margarehi's twin siblings, Frankie and Johnnie.

Can anyone give this poor person some advice?

'Holy Moly' isn't enough here, DG.
This is definitely a situation where Tree would say, 'Holy Crapazoids'!
