Anyone with an Aldi's nearby should stop in and get one of their Spice Club spices in a grinder. I've tried 2 so far, and the spices are very fresh. But the best part is that they are re-fillable. The price is what you'd expect from Aldi's, $1.69 for 1.75 oz (50 grams) of pepper. Compare that to over $3 for 1.23 oz (35 grams) of McCormick's Peppercorn Melange, which does not come in a re-fillable grinder. The Spice Club pepper seems to be fresher, as well.
