I have one. I love it! It's perfect for cooking all winter (when I can't use the regular grill). The only thing that I've tried so far that came out crappy was steak--it comes out WELL DONE, like cardboard. But everything else, even quesadillas, come out wonderful.

It's good. Really couldn't say anything bad about it at all. My mom used to use it a lot and it worked well.

Yeah, its in storage along with the other cooking things which sounded good at the time but I dislike and used once or twice and then put away.

But then I do not like new fangled things, and my kitchen is a throw back to around the 1940's - basically.

Along with the Foreman grill in storage one will find the Food Processor, the 'hand held battery operated whisk thingy' which really didn't do the job. The 'in the shell egg scrambler (I wasn't too impressed), the electric skillet, the deep fat fryer, the forced air dehydrator and I'm certain that there are a few other things.

Wink

I don't have one anymore, but did at one time...and loved it. I used it for all kinds of meat..Hamburger, Chicken, Pork, Venison

You want to be careful though...very easy to overcook chicken breasts and they can become very dry.

Just be sure to check frequently.

I really loved the way it drained the fat out of the hamburger.

I just wish the grilling surfaces were removable for cleaning...a real pain to wash when done. Had to hold the grill over the sink and wash it. I don't know if they've improved this since I bought mine 3 years ago.

I've had one for years and use it all the time. My only complaint is that it doesn't cook evenly anymore.

No, it hasn't, and it should. I also made the mistake of using something a little too scrubby on it and removing a little of the Teflon coating, so now things stick in one place. But I also love how it drains hamburgers. This is also good for frozen preformed turkey burgers, which we eat a lot--it drains the water away so you get a grilled patty as opposed to a steamed patty.

I have the family sized one and the baby one. I love them. You can even make grilled cheese sandwiches in them.

I have to agree with MX2 and Joni that steak and chicken can get too overdone if not careful.

Cleaning it can be a hassle. But, usually I just let mine cool and I scrape it. with the plastic scraper it came with. If it is really bad I just take a damp sponge too it. You should never use scratchy things like stainless steel or those scratchy pads(I forget what they're called) those will deffinatly take the teflon off. And you should never stick anything with teflon on it, in the dishwasher. That too will cause the teflon to come off. But then again, you shouldn't be sticking the grill in the dishwasher anyway. Roll Eyes

They are starting to come out with colored ones too. (the lid is colored) They have a blue one I really like. I want it because it goes with my cobalt blue kitchen appliances and stuff. But like I said, I already have two of the George Forman Grills, I don't need a third lol.

David, you and I seem to be in the minority. I had one and did not care for it. Nothing I cooked on it seemed to be cooked evenly and I just didn't like the flavor. Heck, if I want something grilled, I'll go outside and grill it. Even if it's snowing. I didn't invest in my big stainless steel (I won't say how much tho!) grill for nothing. I guess I'm just a die hard BBQ 'princess'. Big Grin

I have one and use it all the time. I too love the way it drains the fat from hamburgers. I may be one of the few people in the United States that doesn't like steak so I've never tried that. A trick I learned from my mom (never too old to get Mom's advice Smile) for cleaning is to put a wet paper towel on the grill after using.....that makes it easier to clean. I love the way it cooks salmon, too.

I just finish cooking a dilled salmon with butter sauce in mine. I have had it 18 months and use it almost every day. My son has one that he uses at school, and really like it, too.

I received another George Foreman for Christmas this last year - and lo and behold it has removeable plates for cleaning (which was my only complaint 2 years ago)

I use it quite often - still love it! The only thing I have found I can't cook on it is thick pork chops, because they have to be so thoroughly cooked the outside got dry. It was still very tasty though!

Oh, and Steph tried bacon - found out it didn't work, the plates don't fit together tightly enough for that. But it really is fun experimenting!

I already answered once but thought I would again.

Paul (my fiance) and I live in a very small studio house. We have a kitchen but it does not have a stove. The only cooking equipment we have is a steamer grill, microwave and the George Forman. The George Forman we have is the regular grill on the left and a flat grill on the right.

Let me tell you, Paul does some pretty aazing stuff with them! He makes Sloppy Joe's, Fajitas, Marinara Chicken...the list is endless!
It is absolutly amazing what you can cook on the grill!

We do cook bacon on it as well. If we decide to cook it in strip form, upon placing it on the grill, we set a cast iron skillet ontop of it. Works great.

If you only have the regualr George Forman, we found that you can not only make grilled cheese sandwiches but french toast as well. (they just come out flatter that's all)

We were cooking steaks on the old GF. But started dicing them then throwing them on the flat grill side. They come out very tender.
