Is this an urban legend? Someone told me that it is a historical "fact" that Napoleon Bonaparte spent time alone in the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid. He came out white as a ghost and noticably shaken. When questioned, he refused to answer and demanded that it never be mentioned again. He would never tell what he saw, and near his death, when asked what he saw that day, he refused to tell, saying "There's no point. You would never believe me."
A search on the internet for "Napoleon" and "King's Chamber" certainly shows that some people believe this story, but I can't find any "reliable" websites espousing it. Is it really a historical "fact"? Or is it another urban legend?

Napoleon did spend a night alone in the Kings Chamber, There is no report (official) that he came out frightened.
He spent the night pursuing the myths of the healing life giving powers of the pyramid said to grant one immortality or some such nonsense and the suggestion that if you spend a night in such a structure you come out knowing the infinite secrets of the universe.
Since he died and met his Waterloo we can assume that he proved those wrong.

Babthrower, I know it comes as a shock. It will take time, but you'll come to accept it. And if you need a respite from the pain, you can always return to this series of questions to rest assured that I am still a fool for weird possibilities, skeptical or no.
