As I'm moving to Australia soon, I've got a lot of stuff to get rid of, notably a lot of film memorabilia collected while I worked for a major chain.

I've tried selling on e-bay, and while the things have sold, I've only gotten the bare minimum (£1.00) for each item.

I don't want to get rich here, but I'd like to earn a little bit more than I am. Has anyone had success on e-bay, and can they offer some tips?

Yes, I have had some success on ebay. There is an option on ebay for "buy it now" and a set price. You may want to consider putting a reserve price on your items. That way you do not have to take tiny amounts for your things.

You might want to take a look at ebay's new learning center

thanks Angela.

I've taken the tour of the learning centre and my newest item is all singing and all dancing. I've also upped the reserve price and we'll see how I do.

I was wondering about the phrasing of the ad, how to make it more dynamic.
