While doing Christmas shopping tonight, I bought a toy that takes 2 AA batteries. So I found the "battery section" in the store, and I found AA batteries in packages of 4, and 6, and 8 and even more. Why not just 2 which is all I really need? Also wondering if anyone has purchased one of those battery rechargers and if they have --- do they like it?

LOL Kelleygirl, it's always better to buy more than you need so you'll always have extras when you need them. Batteries do come in packs of 2, but I always buy the 4 pack. I've never bought the recharger though but there was a thread here somewhere discussing the rechargers. Don't remember where.

You've got the peace sign back, Honi. It's just that I needed only 2 AA and the 4 pack was pretty rare. I wind up with a drawer full of mixed old batteries that are probably too old to use anyway --- and they're not cheap to buy anymore.

Battery Chargers work pretty good. They are a but of a hassel though. It's better to have a back up pair of batteries because it takes about 6-8 hours for them to charge.
Do you have a dollar store in your area? A good one just opened up in our area. I got two 10 packs of AA batteries for only a buck each!
