I have a open space on my living room wall that would be perfect for a big square of linked pictures. I don't want to buy separate picture frames and put 20 holes in the wall. Where can I find a linking picture frame which holds 20 various size frames? I found this and its something like what I am looking for. I could always get 2 of them and put them on top of one another. I'd really like it to be like a piece of art to put pictures in. I want the wall collage to connect and make a square on the wall. I can get more than one to make the shape I want. I have seen them before but I'm not sure where. Any suggestions on where I could find one at a reasonable price? I need it to hold 8x10, 5x7 and 3x5 pictures.
I found another example of a collage here but I need it in a square form.
I may be asking for too much. LOL

Thanks Jenny. This is the problem. I have so many family photos in picture frames that I don't have anywhere to put them. I really need something that holds about 20 pictures. I could even get 2 of them to put on top of ane another for that wall. I just think that is such a cool look. I don't like the huge square with the pre-made circles in it. I saw the one I wanted yesterday but someone made it by measuring and placing the 20 various frames on the wall. I don't want the holes on the wall and there is NO way I could get single frames straight on the wall.

So what I'm thinking with all these links is that what you need is a picture rail system that you can customize to meet your needs. The site I link to is one of several sites that specialize in this. You can see that the individual pieces aren't that expensive but the whole installation will add up quickly. Nevertheless it's probably more cost effective than custom making something.
There are endless little pieces of hardware available to accomplish whatever you want. I suggest that you lay out your pictures and decide if you need all new frames or not. Then put the pictures out in a layout that you think is good. Or do a drawing if you can't lay it all out. You can then purchase the pieces you want to make a similar assembly to what you show in your links. You can even link the picture vertically to get that linked look.
It seems like a lot of work but it would get you the result you are looking for. If you want more help with it, let me know.

My opinion is that it's best to put the effort into buying nice frames that go well together. If the pictures don't go together then you really just need to put them on another wall with pics that do go together well. I would then design a nice composition for the frames and if you don't end up with 20 pictures then maybe you need to put some pictures on a shelf below the rest or something like that. They make nice shelves for resting pictures on. A combination of shelves and groupings of pictures might be the best thing now that I'm thinking about it.

Thank you so much Ami. I see you put a lot of effort into looking for me. I'm gonna start laying out the pictures and find out exactly what I need. (very good idea) I'm thinking about buying all black matte frames. I'm still not sure about the matting. Jo-Ann Fabrics is having a 40% sale this week so I'm gonna see what frames they have. I'm not very crafty so this will be quite challenging for me. The link you posted will surely help me with the basics. The hard part isn't the work, its figuring out what to do.

You're welcome Clare. Let me know if you have any questions. A good craft store can really help too. I think the key is in the groupings to make sure they have some continuity between them - i.e. all portraits together, any impromptu pictures together, important moments together. It ends up looking more put together and not like you get a new picture and throw it on the wall.
Good luck with it!

I saw those too but I like the artistic look of uniform frames. I'm really going for a Feng Shui decorative feel. I think I'm gonna go with 3 rows alternating directions of the 5x7's. I'm still trying to figure out the best look. It will be on a decorative black wooden rail system with black wood frames. I may end up with some shelves. I'm not sure yet. I may even use a black and bamboo rod.
Row 1: 5x7,5x7,3x5,5x7,5x7,3x5
Row 2: 5x7,8x10,3x5,8x10,5x7
Row 3: 5x7,5x7,3x5,5x7,5x7,3x5
