We have Caller ID. We are getting repeated calls without messages being left.
1) Out of Area 206-674-7507. Somewhere in Washington state, according to my area code guide in my phone book. They are calling the home phone, up to six times per day. They let it ring 3 times, (the answering machine picks up at 4). Never have left a message.
2) Arizona 602-674-7507. They call my number assigned to my fax machine, that is programed to pick up on the first ring. Do it several times a day. Never leave a fax and never stop calling.
I have NO idea who these people are!
Is there a cross reference directory available, so that I can find out who they are, before, I call them back and TELL THEM OFF?!
Please let me know how to check this out and/or what to do from here.
We can leave the house and come back with the 206xxx on our caller id, x 4!
What is your advise? Thank you!

All of these have directories where you can enter a phone number and get a name and address back. I didn't find those two numbers in google or switchboard, but you might find it in one of the others.
I am slowly working my way through your cross reference links. No luck with either number, so far.
I have no idea why the Arizona number is repeatedly calling my fax number. But, they've called three times today.
As far as the Washington State number calling the home phone: I'm thinking that it's a pre-paid calling card. My 17 year old step son has had friends call him before from those and they are routed through places like Denver and Atlanta. Usually, his friend will leave a message and then, we will know to pick up thoses calls. This kid is not leaving messages, so don't know if that is the case or not.
Do you know about how the pre-paid cards work? Is this a possibility? I would assume that the routing numbers would NOT show up in a cross-reference. I guess I'll just pick up the phone and find out.
Thanks again for your help. I will let you know if I get an answer from any of your site references.
Answer Pool is AWESOME!

Both of the phone numbers are from ER Solutions... a collection agency. They are known for illiegal collection activities such as
Weekend/sunday calling Late night calls Workplace harassment
Additionally, ER Solutions will place negative information on your credit report BEFORE notifying you in writing of the amount due... which is also against the law, but a lot harder to prove and rectify.
The Reason the numbers have 2 different area codes, while the rest is the same is that they use IP phones, through different offices.
I suggest that if you have NOT received written notification from them, you log the times that they call you for a week and then turn them over to the BBB for failure to notify you by mail -- as required by law.
