I was just reading a thread in which Clare was looking for a favorite perfume, and others piped up and reported their own experiences in similar pursuits -- for different products!
I remember a most beautiful perfume that was sent out by a women's magazine, a promotional scheme of some sort, and I got a tiny ampoule in the mail. I adored it. But I could never find out its name. The magazine was only able to say which 'set' the product belonged to!
Weird promitional scheme, wasn't it? They've improved the methods since!

Years ago, I chanced my arm and bought an eau de cologne for my wife, made by Ted Lapidus. She loved it and so did I, and for years she's worn only this in terms of perfume or eau de cologne or whatever. The price is OK - not a cheap giveaway, but not OTT either - only now it's almost impossible to find it anywhere. Why? Help, anyone? It's called "Création" and as I just said, it's by Ted Lapidus. Help. My wife loves it.
