I currently have a hand-held shower head with a 4 ft. hose. We really need to get a longer one, preferably 8 ft. (in the standard size)
I've gone to all the local hardware and home improvement stores and they don't sell anything longer than 5 ft. I've also done some searching online and cannot find anything. So if anyone knows where I can find a 6 or 8 foot hose, I'd greatly appreciate it!

What you need is an 8 foot length of Pex pipe and two female hose ends...I can't seem to find any links with illustrations but any plumbing supply house should be able to set you up for 20 to 30 dollars.

Here are some metal shower hoses and 6' to 6'6" range from $30-$45. I've never used Pex Pipe but the one I have at home is Chrome and I like it because it is sturdy and conducts heat well.

Upon further reflection, I've realized that Pex might be a bit too stiff for this application... I'm gonna have to check out Georgia's link... I like the idea of replacing mine with a chromed hose.
