I thought I would ask this since I have seen so many people posting about pre-paid cell phones. Do you get anything in the mail that shows what numbers you have called or have called you on this phone? Or, is it more of a pay to play type thing? The reason I am asking is because I have a cell phone and every month when the bill comes in my husband freaks out at the amount of call on it. I'm under my min. usually but he tells me it should be only used in emergencies and to keep in contact with each other when we need to find one another. I sort of agree with this but I think he thinks I am calling an old boyfriend or something with it. That’s why I was wondering about the pre-paid phones. Then he would know the minutes and such. Just looking for some advice on this, thanks!
There is no bill if you use a Tracfone. There is no mailbox either. You buy the phone (I got my wife’s for free with a rebate deal) and purchase cards for the minutes you need. My wife used to forget to purchase a card every month. I finally went out and bought her a card that keeps the service active for one year.
You can purchase the cards and phones in any major electronics store.

I also have one for my daughter. That way I don't have a bill. She has to buy her own cards, so if she uses up all her minutes before she gets paid, it's her problem. I like the fact that there are no cell phone bills from a teenager
