what do you do to (un-join) have your membership deleted.

I understand that you can simply log-off, and stay off and not contribute, however if someone wants to remove themselves as a member, how is this accomplished?

Past policy has been not to delete members. (I'd have to ask the previous owner to be certain about this.) I assume the reasoning is that if a member stops coming here, he has no problems. E-mail addresses are not put on a list and sold, and, to my knowledge, there has been only one mass e-mailing. There have been instances instances in which people have asked to be deleted and later asked to be re-instated. (In only one, I think, was the person actually deleted in the first place.)
