What is the status? Has the goal been reached? It might be helpful to keep us posted as to how much more needs to be done?? Isn't there a deadline?

I am about $200 short, Frank, and the person giving me a ride tomorrow to the courthouse will lend me that amount. I was waiting until I actually paid the back taxes to make the announcement, but there is certainly no harm in doing so now, and those who contributed certainly deserve to know that they made a difference. Personal thank yous will go out today and tomorrow, but I want to give my heartfelt thanks to all who helped. Were it not for you, I would have lost my house. I also wish to thank all those who sent their prayers and wishes. I know that some just were not in a position to have helped, but wanted to. I feel that their thoughts also made a difference.

I cannot fully describe how I feel at this moment. Overwhelmed, grateful, humiliated, humbled are simply not strong enough words. Some of you may scoff, but I also know that some will recognize what I mean when I say that the feeling of impending doom has left. It is truly as if a weight has been lifted from me.
