First I have the same problem as Juan Ruiz, that I don't know how to get permission to correct even a typo/literal.

Second I just tried to reply to his post on this matter. I was informed that I had no permission to access the page. So I could not reply.

Third I tried clicking on the quick reply icon. This enabled a reply but it seemed wiser to post separately so:

Fourth I post this.

Awaiting reply, I try to guess how to pass this increased security screening.

So I am sitting here with my shoes off, have removed my coat, emptied trousers of all keys and turned off the mobile.........and have now run out of ideas what to do next. (Send urine sample in, give DNA test...what?) My fear is that some mad Arab fundamentalist has hacked his way past me and is replying and posting to his heart's content......... Confused

Fred, Hugh had to disable the Edit function until he can find a way to set the time limits on it. He explains it here.
As far as your inability to reply, I have no answer yet, but will ask Hugh to look into it. But rest assured that I have installed a Falafel Detector to prevent any attempts at mad terrorists posting to their heart's content. Any hint of Falafel on their breath, and they would be summarily booted.

Freeze dried urine samples may be sent to Dorians home post office box for testing.
Seriously, It sounds like what happens when the site thinks you are not logged in. This has happened to every member, give or take, since the migration began. Also many members have had to delete all cookies to clear the cache on their system for this site.

Even though the site looks nearly identical, this is really a whole different website and the server scripts are requiring all members to log in and if they have changed computers or email since they registered, many are having troubles. I have been working quietly on several issues for the last week and expect that the entire site will be as it was pre-migration in another weeks time.

Infopop, God bless them, have been working on the eve control panel migration since last October and since December in earnest.

I will not take that long to correct all of the 'glitches' (I hate that term) in the sites scripts.

To me glitch means something broken. And what we have here is really more, a "new site needing all permissions reset and layout traits reselected."

Nothing is really broken. I know most of you deal with a small handful of forums each visit, but please remember there are over 180 of them and updating all of them is going to take a little while.

Now, I must get back to work Big Grin
