Okay, if a situation came up (i.e. Titantic) where not everyone could not survive, do you believe in the old "women before men" saying? Would love to hear from guys and gals and thanks. This was a survey question on our local news station; wonder if we'll come out the same.

Pregnant women and children under 18,then nursing women, then frail or elderly passangers, then parents of minor children, then everyone's on their own. Sorry, but only women bear or lactate, if men did, I would say "the pregnant and nursing passengers.

As I recall, the old saying was "women and children first" and seemed to depend on chivalry. I don't think much of the choices because there is nothing to indicate whether the choice is a personal and voluntary one or whether it is a policy to be strictly enforced and adhered to. I would agree with DG's "parents of young children" first which should certainly include the young children. 'Strongest regardless' may well take place, but that is strictly law of the jungle. My choice would be for the frail and elderly to voluntarily elect to be last, because we have lived complete lives and have little additional life to look forward to. IMO.
I limited my answer to one of the choices given, with a slight modification. I wouldn't want to see a couple of 90 year-old parents and their 70 year-old children get saved while 25 year-old expectant parents got left. (I admit to not thinking about pregnant women until I read MrsS's response.) While I disagree with part of JR's last statement, I agree his wish that the frail and elderly voluntarily elect to be last.
