If you're dressing up for halloween or going clubbing, maybe glitter is appropriate, but for everyday wear, I find it silly and childish. A bit of glitter in the nail polish, a touch in the lipstick or eyeshadow and that is plenty.

Funny side note: my mother's stylist put glitter in her hairdo for my wedding day. I was horrified! Plus, it got on me! It got everywhere! I'm still picking it up! sigh...

When I was in sixth grade, yeah. I had the Jerome Russell 5 gallon bucket of body glitter, and I'd wear it on my eyelids and on my cheeks/temples. Yeah, I was pretty hot stuff. wink

Now, I make it a point to do exactly the opposite of what I did in sixth grade. smile I avoid glitter at all costs. Except for nail polishes--I found a nice clear topcoat with a little bit of subtle iridescent glitter. However, I do occasionally like eyeshadows and occasionally lip glosses (not much of a gloss person, just give me my Softlips and I'll be fine) with a teeny, tiny touch of iridescent shimmer. NOT chunks of glitter. Lancome makes a nice light bronze eyeshadow that matches my skin tone (although now my skin is turning somewhat pasty white from the lack of sun--we can just pretend that I'm still nice and tan for now) and reflects a little bit of light, for a natural kind of glow. It's all about natural. big grin

I'm a "glitter person" myself!

If you like glitter...wear it! If you dont like glitter, then dont wear it..

I wouldnt listen to SeatleRon.. you can wear glitter regardless if you are a rock star or not. Thats BS!!

I personaly think that its all in how you use it. If you use it at the bucket fulls, then you need to cut back some!! But a little goes the long way with glitter!
