I guess it would depend on how they looked and what ornimentation you wore.
I have 3 piercings along one ear and 4 on the other. I use subtlw gold and gem settings and they look rather tasteful, I think. I have seen some lovely diamond flat studs in the nose. The tongue isn't HUGELY obvious, but the brow one can be both ugly and obvious.
How do your look?

Piercing used to be rebellious and a sign of wanting to look "different". When I see someone with face piercings it make them look like they just want to be like everyone else. They are just another teen face in the crowd. It is very hard to take someone seriously with piercings on their face. No offense Megan but your piercings probably make you look like a kid. As a young adult and mother you need to think about how you want the world to see you. While you do have a right to do what you want, the truth is that first impressions mean everything. It could be the difference between a good paying job or asking someone if they would like fries with that.

Personally I think face peircings are distasteful....a little nose stud is okay but the eyebrow, lips, & tongue are just distracting....Everytime I talk to anyone with one that is all I see.
I duno why i like piercings so much. I am obsessed with tattoos too...I understand what u guys are saying..jus wondered what everyones opnions were..jus hope u dont think any less of me..lol
I have 3 tattoos..getting ready to get a couple more...I have Kaitlyn on my left wrist and Connor on my right wrist..and i have a chinese symbol on my foot that means love...Getting ready to get a really cute fairy on my back...
No she likes them..now she wants one..lol...I got them at a place in Hutch that is pretty cool...Very good reputation..It hurt but not bad enough to make me not do it again...!
I have no "problem" with piercings but I have to admit that I tend to take someone a bit less seriously if they have multiple facial piercings. Tattoos are a different matter. My reaction to tattoos always depends on the quality of the work and the image itself- Bad work makes me think the person wearing it did not care enough to look for a reputable, experienced artist and suggests to me that they may be just as lax in other areas, I know this is not fair, but it's a gut thing that I can't quite get past. I always urge people, especially young women, to get their ink in locations where it can be covered with ordinary street clothes... no matter how clean cut you are, a tat on your neck or wrist will always turn off some people and that's not what you want in certain circumstances, like when you meet your partner's grandma or are interviewing for the job of your dreams.

One thing to consider if you think you may want to go back to work someday, is that many companies frown on, or downright do not allow piercings except in the ears.
I don't have a problem with piercings or tattoos for the most part, as long as they reflect the person's personality.
I have two piercings in each ear, and always wear studs in the top holes and hoops in the bottom. I've been thinking seriously about getting a hummingbird tattoo, and if I do it'll go on the side of my right calf I think Haven't quite worked up the nerve, or had the time either, but I think I'll get it someday
Giz... I would get that hummingbird just above your right knee... the calf is a hard spot to cover if you have a business function to which you can't wear slacks, and you can still show it off when you want.. besides, the concentration of nerve endings on the calf is greater than on the outside of the thigh.
