I wouldn't be surprised if I never got an answer to this, because the question I'm going to ask would have to be answered by a real journalism expert.

When writing a research paper, how would one go about citing a war crimes report in a works cited list? confused

This question also appears in the News/Reference forum for words and language.

Click here for one method of citing references.

The suggested format in a bibliography for a report is:

Author, (last name first). Year. Title of report. Name of entity that published the report.

In the text of your paper, you may cite this source by placing the last name and year of the publication in parentheses (Author, Year).

I am not a journalist, but trust this satisfies your inquiry.
