i was writing a proposal to Board of director at my college.
English is my second langauge.
I tried but couldnot come up with better than this

where are the mistakes
can some body just point it out
and can it be made nicer...?
just with the same content ..dont have to re write it all

sss College has been “Land of opportunities” for the creative, dedicated and innovative minds .Creation and innovation, which serves the students, has been always encouraged. We respectfully thank the concern of the College Management for the betterment of the students. It has always taught us to be creative, innovative, enabling us to face real life challenges.

Creativity, Innovation needs a forum for expression. The creative and innovative thoughts may inspire, inform and encourage others when it is conveyed. So respecting the concern of the College Management for the betterment of students and as an effort of creating a forum for uplifting the creativity, knowledge and innovation, the students of the ssss College has decided to publish a Newsletter.

Expected Benefits:
The Newsletter will act as a medium for the expression of creativity, innovation, thoughts and information which can be very useful the other readers (students)

The Newsletter will fill the current vacuum created by the lack of medium of expression, creating new encouraging environment making students dynamic.

It will act as a ground where students can learn, perform and create new ideas which will help them to perform at the higher level in future.

It will help students to practice all the Management, Marketing, and Accounting Principles with real life project which will make students more dynamic along with the academic knowledge.

It will develop concept of “teamwork” among students creating amicable environment in college.

The articles of the Newsletter will help students in their study providing various useful educational and non educational materials.

It will help students in their project works and will provide many opportunities for survey and real life studies though Newsletter.

It will keep students informed about various fields.

Coverage
The Newsletter will include each and every aspects of student’s academic Concern (along with some non academic material, according to college rules).

The Newsletter will have following major categories.

Editorial Section
This will include editorial columns, words from respected teachers, Board of directors, Views, Interviews etc.


Business Section
This will include useful material for Business studies, current Business Event, Findings etc.

Computer and IT
This section will include educational and non educational information related to computer and information Technology, currents IT trends, developments, news, views, reviews etc.

Health
This section will include useful information for Health (Medical) studies, current development in Health (Medical) sectors, views and many more related to medical field.

Faculty Section
This section will include articles, views, finding from different faculty of the college.

Miscellaneous
This section will include useful materials, articles from different fields like Sports, Entertainment ,News ,College events ,Literature etc.

Estimated Cost and Collection Plans

A Newsletter Publishing fund will be created which will manage all the funds for the publishing of Newsletter. Respecting the noble intention of College Management for the betterment of the students, we except that college Management will provide ...... (one time) for the establishment of Newsletter publishing Fund.

The computer editing will be done by the students which will increase their designing efficiency and providing other computer knowledge.
The estimated total cost for the each issue is ....., which primarily will be spent for the press expenses.

Collection Plans.
A Newsletter will be provided to students, who make donation of .... to the Newsletter publishing Fund.
Any student will not be forced to make donation to the Fund. Donating, to acquire the Newsletter will be totally independent decision which will be made by the student as their will.

The advertisement of external Donors (according to college rules) will be placed for the donation, according to agreement between donor and Newsletter Publishing Committee.

Break Even and Future.
The committee has expected to reach Break even, after publishing the 2nd issue of the Newsletter, as the first issue of the Newsletter will be distributed to all the students, teachers without any donation as a promotional effort.
The Newsletter Publishing committee will be made economically strong to carry its expenses.

Number of issue and duration
The total of 4 issue will be published in each academic year (2 semesters).There will not be fixed interval for publishing Newsletter. However, the Newsletter will not be published just one month before or after the Board Exams.

The Newsletter Committee will work under direction of respected College Management strongly abide by the rules, for the overall development of students. So, we expect encouragement, economic and other resources required for publishing the Newsletter.

The Newsletter publishing Committee will actively work for overall improvement of all the students, through the newsletter, creating innovative and amicable environment

1. Article use:

"College has been 'Land of opportunities' for the creative, dedicated and innovative minds."

the land of opportunity

But drop the before 'creative, dedicated and innovative'

So please review the rules for the use of articles, and check their use throughout the proposal.

2. Words such as creative, dedicated, innovative, and their various forms e.g. create, innovate, should appear only once in the entire proposal.

3. Agreement in number errors:

"The creative and innovative thoughts may inspire, inform and encourage others when it is conveyed. "

"Thoughts" should be represented by the plural pronoun, "they", not by "it".

"the students of the ssss College has decided to publish a Newsletter."

Similarly, "students" is plural, so correct the verb.

3. Idiomatic errors:

"It will help students in their project works "

Just say 'projects'.

4. "Creativity, Innovation needs a forum..."

Review the rules on use of capitals. Don't use capitals unless they are needed. Innovation does not need a capital here.

5. Avoid long sentences:

"So respecting the concern of the College Management for the betterment of students and as an effort of creating a forum for uplifting the creativity, knowledge and innovation, the students of the ssss College has decided to publish a Newsletter."

This might be replaced with a simpler conclusion:

"We propose that a student newsletter would make the students better. Such a forum would enhance the students' creativity, knowledge, and innovativeness."

BUT NOTE THE PREVIOUS WARNING ABOUT REPEATING WORDS. Check the proposal for how many times the word "create", as well as its forms such as "creativity", have been used. Use the term only once in the proposal.

Please post the proposal again, after you have done these corrections and we'll see what else needs to be done. After rewriting it, you will find that it is much shorter.

Honest criticism: The proposal is not a good advertisment for what the newsletter would be like. It's much too wordy and repetitious.
