MLA Style: Poetry

Poem titles are enclosed in quotes. They are neither underlined nor italicized.

Example:

Lord Tennyson’s “The Lady of Shalott” reflects the changing roles of women in the Victorian age.

Buying the latest MLA manual is a good idea. But first, find out what style your particular discipline uses. Some don't use the MLA. The American Psychological Association (APA) manual is the second most often used, I think, and the Chicago Manual of Style is next. There is also at least one more, but I can't remember it now.
