My cat now, was thrown out of a car window and rescued. We got him from the kennels at Petsmart.
At least, they told us that he was thrown out. My mum thinks they make that stuff up. He's a great cat, though.
We got a cocker spaniel from some people in our town; he was purebred pain in the ass. That's all I can remember of my pets.

We got my sweet little calico kitten when we rescued her from our neighbor's tree. They wouldn't respond to her pathetic little mews, but my father heard her, got out his ladder and got her down. After that, she wouldn't leave our property, so we took her in. I guess you could say she adopted USSmile

Before Rajah and Lacie, every single cat and dog we owned were strays, pound animals, or given to us by others. Most of them were strays though.

Our current dogs are Schipperkes and are pure-bred because we wanted a very specific sort of dog for my disabled sons.

Well where do I start?

Heidi who we think is a Border Collie followed my kids home and wouldn’t leave about 4 years ago. She was about 3 months old no one called for our found lost dog add so she is ours!

Chubs was here when I got married to my lovely husband, Jeff. Apparently Chubby’s mama belonged to Jeff’s ex-sister in law who was staying with him and his now ex-wife, Becky. From what I am told she, Chubbies mama, got knocked up by the neighbors Sharpie and had 8 puppies! Chubby was the first born and His sister Kylie was the last. Kylie was hit by a car this past June, sad event that. So I guess Chubby was a gift in a round about way, Jeff says he was forced to keep him because his kids pitched holy fits! LOL

Sasha my baby wolf/dog I got at a local pet shop. She’s my sweetie pie honey bunch!!!!

The two rats were purchased, but I look at it as rescued, from a pet shop, they were doomed to be some snakes’ food! Lucky for them my daughter loves rats and begged me for one! Now we have two LOL.

The rabbit we bought from a local pet shop as well, his name is Hershey kisses and he’s WEIRD!

The lizards all originally came from pet shops but the one was really the neighbor kids but she didn’t care much for it so she gave it to my step daughter Aubrey. There are 3 of those in all.

The ferrets I bought at a pet shop. They are Bob (rotten a$$ Bob, bad bad, bad Bob, and you little S#!T! is usually what he gets called) and Oliver. I love to call Oliver Olly, sweetie, cutie pie, baby, and cuddle bug, my husband thinks this is silly but I feel he deserves it! He is the GOOD Ferret! Bob is the bad brother! And yeah they are littermates.

Umm I think that covers it, not sure where all these kids came from though, when I figure that out I intend to send em all back!

I am too an animal lover, and there is no way I can see a pup alone in the street and not at least try to find him or her a nice home.

A friend of mine stole my cat from an abusive neighbor of hers, she saw their young son hitting and kicking him numerous times, then I took him home. He is the only cat I've ever had, and we've been best friends now for about 9 years.

I've recently become involved with several rescue groups. My border collie Lizzie was a "free to a good home" advertisement. The previous owners never even asked what kind of home we were giving her, just handed her over Roll Eyes

Hayes is a coonhound mix that we adopted from one of the rescues I work with. He was adopted into two homes before us, and they had given up on him. All he needed was some consistency and love. Now, 6 months later, he is an awesome dog.

The only dog I ever bought from a breeder died 18 months later from a congenital problem and I'll never buy from another breeder again. Not when there are millions of 'unwanted' animals out there.

Sophie is a collie we are currently fostering, until she finds her forever home. She is a sweetheart of a dog, who was abused and is very timid and shy. She is going to make someone a wonderful companion someday.

Good for you, Shel. My best dogs have been "found" dogs.

By the way, it's very nice to see you again. Big Grin
