Have you ever travelled anywhere that you would love to make your home?

I have often thought of moving to Nova Scotia, but others have said, if it becomes your home, it won't be as special as it is when its a vacation.

Any thoughts?

I've often thought that way about Western Washington. That's where all the good scenery is......the mountains, the ocean, forests, etc......but it's also where all the traffic, pollution, and people are too.

So I think I'll stick with living on the dull side of the state, and occasionally visit the other. Smile

Yes. There was a spot along the
Merritt Island Causeway in Florida
that I just loved. Lots of manatees
and a really neat community.

Banff.

I've only been there once, but it was beautiful. Almost as beautiful as the Colorado Rockies....hehehe....Roll Eyes I don't know about moving to Canada though! It was an incredible trip, and I loved the scenery. Doubt I could afford to live in such a place though!

"...if it becomes your home, it won't be as special as it is when it's a vacation."

True!
Thus the saying: "It's a great place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!"

Also, I've heard it said that you never visit the local attractions when you live in a place - you have to move away and come back to visit to ever see them.
True too!
(Too true?)

Signed - Been there, did that (but not when I lived there) Roll Eyes

Vancouver, Ireland, Spain, Seattle, San Francisco... London.... Cozumel

I could live very happily in all those places and it would be different than vacationing, but a good experience nonetheless.

The reason I haven't done so yet is because I have family here, but someday I will pack up and go live somewhere else at least for a little while. That's the plan anyway. Smile
