Hi,
I had another dream again, and the way it was interpreted last time was spot on. I'm trying to do it myself, but i'm not very good and was wondering if anyone could help again? What happened was:

I was on my front garden and a truck thing pulled up, and there was a man of about 45+ (who looked sort of spanish and like the man off the film Conair that got chained up in the cage) and a young man of about 20, and they pulled up and started speaking to my 7 year old neice. I was getting panicky because she wasn't walking away from the truck and i knew she should, and i was calling and beckoning her over, and she finally came over. I was really relieved, but then i was in my kitchen and the old spanish bloke form the truck was there and i was dancing in a circle and it was like a little competition with me and some other people dancing Spanish style in my kitchen. Confused lol.

Then i was running down a flight of stairs with (i think it was my sister in the dream even though i don't have a sister) and suddenly the 'sister' dissapeared and i was on rollerblades outside and it was icy and snowy and there was a big gang of kids chasing me on rollerblades too. I was really desperate to get away, and as i was getting chased i heard like a commentary saying 'and as they went on, more and more kids joined the chase'. As i was trying to get away, i saw a person who i described to myself in the dream as 'the tall man'who looked kind and, well, tall lol.
I skated down a street and thought to myself 'i know, the tall man will help me'and he was in a house half closing the front door, and i gave a shriek as the kids got closer and dashed up his garden into his house. The tall man told the kids that i didn't want to see them, and iwalked up the stairs and saw myself in a bed.

Then i walked through a sort of archway thing and i raised my arms, and i saw this bull-man and he blessed me - i think he was supposed to be a god - and i walked out of the light and the bull man was there and a woman and they greeted me and offered me tea.

Then i was asleep on a raft in the middle of the sea with other people (it was night and they were sleeping too), and i could see the raft from above like through a bird's eye view. i saw myself get up (think i was sleepwalking) and start whisteling to myself, and jump into the sea. I was myself again and i was swimming through blackness, but i heard that commentary thing again commenting on how i didn't know if i was underwater because there was no bubbles. I saw a monkey (?) swimming, and there were bubbles and i realised i was underwater. I was a littel tiny fish then, and a massive sword fish came up behind me and tried to eat me. I was dodgeing, and went to the surface, and had to keep jumping out of the water so the swordfish wouldn't eat me.

I was running on a field in my P.E kit, and i knew i was in a race thing. I'm really competitive, and i was getting stressed when everytime i tried to give a burst of speed, i ran really slow.I was getting angry because i knew that i was a fast runner. Some of my classmates came up behind me and ran past, and i was trying to run fast but i still couldn't. I carried on running, and i came to this little clearing where there were coaches full of kids from other schools and a table with drinks on.

That's my dream. Right, i'll put what i think some bits mean, and can someone give their opinion too? I'm not very good at interpreting dreams as i've only just started.

I think that the running but not being able to run fast enough and others running past me thing is me feeling frustrated that i'm being left behind and i cant do as well as i feel i could.
Er, i've got a little niggly feeling about the getting chased bit, but i can't put my finger on it. Roll Eyes

Sorry about the spelling lol. Any help is appreciated. Smile

bluesmartiews, sorry, I saw your post but thought I'd let someone else have a go but then I forgot!

The incident with the foreign men and your niece - again, anxiety about threats to ourselves or our loved ones. It's a combination of the threats posed by terrorists, and foreign ones are worse because their motives are poorly understood so we can't protect ourselves as well, and the threat that all small children have from strange men. That she does not immediatily respond to your calls indicated a little bit of anger that she (and those that she represents, including perhaps yourself) does not pay enough attention, is not wary enough; and this heightens your sense that you must be vigilant.

This is true, but I want you to do something for me please. I want you to look up the statistics for death or injuries caused to children by strangers. Your socials teachers could help, and try the internet.
Here's a start.
If you have a problem opening the file, maybe a teacher or librarian can help.
You'll find that very, very few children are actually killed by strangers. Of course when it happens it's horrible, but the risk is not very high. In fact, if you're looking for a subject to write an essay on, this might be a good one, because you're motivated to find out! Smile

Do you remember the music you were dancing to? Sometimes a little 'music clip' in your brain gets turned on, and the snip of melody creates a whole new set of dream-images. The carry-over is the Spanish nationality of the previously threatening characters. If you're looking for another connection, there probably isn't one.

Was this fantasy-fear, as when watching a scary movie, or real terror that made your heart pound?

This is the rescuer-figure and it shows that there have been protective males in your life , not necessarily immediate family. This is a good sign for future relationships with males, including any male children you may have: you are able to trust them.

I don't see a protective female figure in your dreams? You seem to feel protective toward younger and same-age females, but you don't feel protected-by women? Is your mom or woman-figure in your life sort of the helpless type? Fearful?

If so, perhaps you are picking up a lot of anxiety.

If so, you can fix this. Yourself. You must learn to be realistic about fears of external forces . True, some are beyond our control, but many are not, and the most important thing is to learn how to assess these threats.

Men are neither rescuer nor menace in our lives. They're just people, like us. Some are loving companions and some are exploiters - just like us. You need to learn to tell the difference. You need to learn to see yourself as your own main rescuer. You have the brains and the wit to do it, and you are athletic and competitive, so you have good tools to start with.

Build your own self-image. Pick a strong woman and make her your role model. Perhaps a sports figure, a swimmer or tennis player.

Physical tricks can change your self-image. Walk tall. Walk with vigor and purpose. Be aware of your surroundings at all time. Visualize yourself when you are outside of your home as a confident, alert young woman - nobody's fool.

Here's the good thing. It will not only make you feel better about yourself, it will deter those looking for an easy mark! Win-win, right? Smile

Comfort and resolution. Magical figures, but somehow approachable and 'domestic'. The images have elements of religion. You no doubt have seen images from Mycenaen culture, in which the bull may have been a god. And in the cult of Mithra, which came to Britain with the Roman soldiers, the bull is sacrificed by the god, and from his body all the good things spring – plant and animal life. You may or may not have known this, but the image somehow got into your mind at one time, and has become part of your personal iconography. So you see religion as a comfort.

Another version of the pursuit. Have you ever in a dream turned and faced your pursuers? Have you ever done it in real life, say if a couple of kids were chasing you? It doesn’t seem to be an option in your dreams. You flee until you shape-change, and escape is incidental.

Next time you’re relaxed, in bed, waiting to go to sleep, picture yourself being chased by puppies. They’re cute, but naughty too, and they keep nipping at your heels. You’re wearing fabric shoes, and you’re afraid their sharp little teeth will tear them, and you will get in trouble. Then picture yourself turning and saying, “Go home, you naughty puppies! Your mother is calling you!” They stop, surprised, then they turn around and trot away home.

Then tell us about your next dream!
