Had an odd dream while semi-awake. I was in the room with a man. He was talking on the phone while getting dressed, I think with the his back to me. I riched for a knife. Thats when I woke up very scared. When I woke up my hand was curled like I picked something up. I think I had really hated him in the dream. There where no detail to this dream, so I don't know what the room looked like or the man in it. All I know is that I don't know him in the waking life.

I had a dream close to this one when I was in highschool. I was in the parking lot. All cars there where blck in color the kind that people drove after World Wor II. There was a man there that I was in love with, but he was marring my best frind. I was running after him and telling him how much I love him. I remember I said "I did it all for you." I knew it was something terrible like a murder. I knew in the dream that he was a businessmen and had a partner to whome I think I was married. I also remember thinking that my best friend didn't like her fiance, that she stole him from me to hurt me. Well anyway I didn't see the man's face as he was walking away fast in disgust. There was a feeling of dread like something bad was going to happen. I woke up very scared and guilty. I really would like to know what it means.

Thank you,

Lora

Remember: dreams are usually an expression of emotions that are happening in your subconscious mind, or your mind trying to work out a problem in your waking life. Death usually means a new beginning. Killing someone else is an attempt to start off a change in your waking life, that is to "kill off the bad things in your life".

The first one about the man in your bedroom: my guess is that you told someone a secret about yourself, and now they are telling others about it. Could be a girlfriend, who is no friend, or it could be a man that you slept with and now is badmouthing you and telling other people you are a slut.

The second one: again, I think you told your friends about your home life or who you liked or loved and they betrayed you to your family and friends. The 'friends' could not handle it and therefore are turning away from you in disgust. They all seem to be moving on without you in their lives, and you seem like you are 'stuck' or looking for an explanation from them, 'I did it all for you'. The truth is, they don't have the answers you are looking for, so they are turning away to mask their own inability to help you.

Tell me more about your waking life, and I can go further.

I do not have any friends who are girls. I talk to people, but I never lrt anyone close enough to hurt me. I did tell some girls I hanged out with in highschool about the boy that I like. I think they might of told him about it. There where also some girls in highscool who promised to help me find a date, but never did, or would come up to me and tell me about a boy who liked me. Later the boy would come up to me and tell me it is not true. There was only one man I slept with long time ago. I don't care if he tells anyone, as people he knows don't know me. So I don't see a point in him telling anyone. I have a post about fear of commitment may be it will be helpful in interperting the dream.

I had forgot to add something which I think is important. When I was a teenager I lived with my grandparents. My grandmother, my mothers mother, constantly told me how my mother didn't care about me. She told me such a mean and hurtful things abot my mother. It took me a very long time to get over the hurt. I still can't forgive her for doing it to me. I hope I will forgive her someday.

I had a recurring dream about zombies, I thing it is an answer to the dream that I posted hear first.

1. I came to high school in the car, I don't know who was behind the weal all I know it was not me. The first class was mathematics, I was sitting next to a very handsome boy. The boy started hitting on me and soon we where flirting right in the classroom and I was no longer paying atantion to what the teacher was talking about. Somehow the teacher never did anything about us flirting even though she had seen us do it (we where in the front row.) The rest of the dream I spent running away from zombies and other monsters, and looking for the bathroom. I also tried to stay close to the boy that I was flirting with because I felt safe with him and so we can flirt me, for some reason I didn't want people to know that we liked each other so I made sure no one saw. There was the instant in the dream where I went with my classmates to the bathroom, it was like an excursion when a kindergarden teacher takes all kids to the bathroom before going for a walk, the beathroom was wierd it also had shower s in there more like a locker room. While waiting for one of the stalls to be freed I had noticed an odd women standing next to church looking bells and candles, I was very surprised to see those things in the restroom. I had stareted to talk to the woman abd she told me about the curse on the restroom bexuse people died in there before the school was renovated. For some odd reson the restroom would transform in what it looked like before the tragady (not long ago I had watched the movie Silent Hill, think it might be from there,) anyone who had was in the restroom during the transformation had disappeared. I was scared and ran out of the bathroom with other people who heard the story. As we ran out the bathroom had changed trapping everyone who stayed behind, even the sign on top had changed. It now looked like an entrance to some fansy restrant with a fancy sign that siad that it was restroom. The rest of the dream I was afraid to go into the restroom. Then it must of been next day, because I was in the car (in the passenger seat) with my clssmates, we where attacked by zombies. We had tryed to keep the car doors locked, but all of the suden there was no lockes on them. The zombies ended up opening the door. We had barely escaped the zombies by running into the classroom and lucking the door. Zombies had started breaking into the classroom and soon broke the door. Everyone in the classroom had started running evey, there was escape door in the classroom. The teacherthat stays behind to fight the zombies is killed. When we ran out into the corridor I had stared to look for myself, like I was two separate people. I had finaly found me and saw that I was in trouble, bacuse I had ran too far and a zombi could see me. I was scared and wanted to wake up. That was the end of the dream.

2. I had a dream that almost everyone in the town had turned into the zombies including my faience. I had managed to cure him somehow. We where going somewhere by bus. We where home again and I didn't want him to go near opened windows, because I was afried that he was going to get infected again.

3. The dream had started with me on the beach when something hapened to water and anyone who swam would turn into a zombie. I was going somewhere by train. There where many other people there, we where all going to the same location but I din't know where it was. On one of the stopes everyone got out of the train. There was a lake there that looked black. I had felt very negative feelings towered that lake. People who swam in it and everyone who did turned into a zombie, but not right away. I had tried to stay out of the water, but somehow ended up in it anyway. We where back on the train. I noticed that there was something rong with peoples eyes, so we started to treat them before they had totaly transforemed into zombies. It worked on some people. I was worried about what will hapen to up; what will we do to people that treatment didn't work on, what will hapen if we did nothing, and most of all I was worryed when will I strat having symptoms. There wheren't any, because I supposedly had immunity. Then the train had turned into the roller coaster*, it was still the train but it was going down at very steap angle. While we where going down water stareted seeping into the train.

Note: *Had dream where a bus turned into the roller coaster and many dreams about train turning into roller coaster.

3. Me and my friends where running away from zombies. This noight we where staying at one of my friens house. He had a special device that would surround the house with some kind of metal that zombies could not break or mabe they just where not able to smell people inside the house. I alweys felt when the zombies where coming and where to go to be safe. As the night fell I had know that zombies will break thought this time. I knew we had to leave. My firend, the iwner of the house, was not feeling well. He had to go to the bathroom. It was taking him very long time and the time somthing we could not afford to loose. I was stuck making a decision: Stay with a friend to defend him, even thought it might mean death; or run away and leave him on his own.

I do not know any of the people in my dream in real life.

Thank you for help and sorry for writing so much,

Lora

Handsome guy you are flirting with...
Fiance...
Friends that are around you...

Zombies...

Trains...
Rollercoasters...
Car...

Let's start with the obvious. Zombies are the undead, that which keeps coming back, that which cannot die. This (to me) signifies something in your past that keeps coming back to haunt you or something that cannot be "put to rest" until you face it, accept it, deal with it. The zombies appear when you have others around you. It's interesting to me that for someone who has such difficulty committing to relationships that they seem to be prevalent in your dreams. But that undead past of yours always seems to try to come between you and the variety of relationships that you are present in your dreams.

The trains, cars, rollercoasters...even the beach and lake. All of these are transportation or a way to carry you away from or carry you to the zombies. It represents you trying to run away from that hidden past but you can never run away from a past - even if it is hidden from you. It will always be there and will always affect your actions and your relationships.

There must be some way to deal with it. Is there any clues in a dream?

Lora, I'm afraid there are no "clues" in your dreams regarding how to deal with the issues because in all your dreams that you mentioned you are running away or fighting with the zombies (IMO, your past). But as you learn more about the part of your past that has been repressed or that is troubling you - and as you learn to accept that it is a part of who you are and that it is responsible for molding you into the type of person that you are, then I bet those zombies will start showing up in your dreams less frequently Smile

What does it mean to shed skin. In my dream this guy was sort of like removing his skin, leaving a sort of see through film on his body. I wasn't able to see through it, but it sort of look like it was transparent.

Lora, perhaps you should get yourself a dream interpretation dictionary. We can give you clues as to what your dreams might mean, but only you were there when they happened and only you can really decide what they truly meant.

Most times dreams are just the result of life intruding on sleep, whether it is in the shape of the horror film you watched last week, stress about an upcoming family event, the cucumber and milk you had before bed... Sometimes you really can find meaning in your dreams, but often there may not be any meaning to be found.

That said, shedding skin could be an illusion to change, or disease, or the new path you seem so eager to find. Best of luck.

You should definately invest in a dream interpretation book if you want to continue to find meanings in everything you dream about. For a "true" interpretation, only the dreamer can find the answers. It is important to remember that while images can be quite vivid in a dream they do not necessarily are meant to be taken literally. You should examine how you felt when you saw such images. Then look at your life and see what it could relate to. And to add to Elexina's interpretation, skin represents an outer shell or facade. To shed it can indate growth.

A book is not going to give you a full interpretation of a dream - only the dreamer can do that. But it is helpful for explaining what images represent. Some books are more inclusive than others. When you have time maybe you can check out your college library and peruse through the various books on the subject of dream interpretations.
