As some of you have read in the past,my ex-boyfriend died in May.I have been having a feeling of something being "unfinished" between him and I lately.Like there is something I need to do or say or I just dont know, its just one of those feelings.Anyways I had a dream of him the other nite and we were walking and he was telling me all the things he wondered about our relationship. My question is...do you think that people who pass away bring themselfs into our dreams or do you think we just dream of them to make ourself feel better?

I think dreams are a way of allowing the subconcious to work out and manage emotionally charged issues.

Since my father died 1n 1987, I have had ongoing dreams where he is either featured or just a small "bit part" actor. As time goes on, I have felt a sort of comfort in them.

I don't know if he is watching and aware of the corporeal world at all, but I have to hope that if he is, he is proud of the life I and my family have made for ourselves. It has been a long hard struggle for all of us.

But you know, I still grieve over his death and my loss. I think I always will.

They say "Time Heals All Wounds".... I don't think that is as true as "Time Softens the Pain of Wounds". The pain isn't as sharp, but I do feel the loss.

I don't know if that helps at all, but over time you will feel less "unfinished" or like something is missing.

I feel for your loss.
