I learned yesterday that my income tax returns have been deposited into an account at a bank to which I have absolutely no connection.
The IRS and my tax gal are looking into it, but in the meanwhile....
I urge everyone who used e-file and/or authorized direct deposit of their refund to visit this IRS page and check the status of their return.

Thanks for the information. Luckily, I got my return already and it did go to my bank account.

I still don't know HOW the funds got misdirected, but the problem is no longer MY problem... Yesterday, I contacted the bank into which the funds had been deposited, told them what was going on, faxed them the pertinent portions of my tax returns and the operations manager assures me that I should recieve a cashiers check today or tomorrow.
