I am a college student and my parents have been claiming on thei paychecks through the year. I plan on getting married this month to a member of the military thus becoming their dependent. Since my parents have been claiming me all year long can they still claim me ontheir tax return for this year since I will be married within this year? Thanks

Yes, they can claim you on their income tax within the year of 2006 since the majority of the year you were their dependent.

But only one tax statement can claim you... as in no one else BUT your parents can claim you this year.
