I was listening to the BBC Radio 4 radio station this morning, and they gave out - as they always do - their horse racing tips for the day. One of the horses they favoured this morning was called "Brett Maverick".

Hey - Brett Maverick!! Does anyone else here remember HIM?

I remember Bret, his brother Bart, and their cousin Beau, from England. (I wonder whatever happened to Beau.))

http://tv.msn.com/tv/TVWesterns-1?GT1=7703

contains brief notes about Maverick and lots of other westerns from the old days. Memories galore...

Incidentally, this site (and many others) spell Brett with a double 't', yet seeing it written in your post with just one 't', DG, makes me realise that that's the way (i.é. with a single 't') I remember it being spelt in the TV listings back then.
