This guy was a grey haired guy (in my memory) that did a fake-drunk act. He appeared on The Tonight Show with Carson sometimes and he was very well known back in the 70's and 80's. He had a scruffy appearance... not WC Fields.

What was his name?

I saw Foster Brooks give a live perfomance in Spokane many years ago. As I recall, he had a fantastic singing voice. His appearances on the Dean Martin celebrity roasts were the highlights for me.
