I have conflicting answers on the Diamond's hardness, can someone tell me which one is right? This site says 58 times harder than corrundum.

This one claims 4 times harder.

Well I'm gonna throw a wrench into our 2 links. There are 2 ways to measure hardness. The Mohs scale, and by Absolute Hardness. And according to mineral properties a diamond is 140 times harder than Corundum!

Diamond has an Absolute Hardness of 140,000
Corundum has an Absolute Hardness of 1,000
