Why does clorox "Outdoor" have sodium hydroxide in it? thx

The sodium hydroxide shifts the pH equilbrium up to make the product more stable for storage.

My nana loves to use table salt as a steriliser.
Infact you'll be surprised to know
she even beckons me to use it to keep my teeth sparkly. (alongside toothpaste, ofcourse!)

I don't have much idea about what Clorox is. Although the name suggests its a cleaning agent.
