having a fear of tornados, i find myslef fascinated by them.
i was just wondering if the dew point has anything to do, or is an indicator, of the formation of tornados?

Yes.

See here for some basic info about tornadoes, and especially this part of the site where they discuss what causes tornadoes and note that humidity is one of the 3 main factors.

so is a high or low dew point an indicator?
i already knew what that artice said about the formations, but i cant find any information about what the dew point has to be around for favorable conditions for the formation of tornados.

As the article says, humid air at low altitude is one of the main factors. Dewpoint is a measure of humidity. Therefore, a high dewpoint (which indicates a high humidity) helps cause tornadoes.

I don't know how high it would have to be.

A dew point close to the air's dry bulb temperature reading would indicate a high relative humidity.

A dew point of 70 deg F when the air temperature is 72 deg F, for example, would indicate a much higher relative humidity than a dew point of 75 deg F when the air temperature is, say, 95 deg F.
