Is it a conception, at all, to meteorologists and others that our seasons are simply rolling just a little faster than our calendar, for whatever reason? I breifly searched on this but didn't find much.

Anyone?

Hi Kendor,
I'm not sure where you live, but it certainly isn't the case here in Southern Ontario.

We are still stuck in winter. Our climate is generally milder than a lot of the northern US states, but tonight we are at 23F with a windchill making it seem like 10F...oh and it's snowing too.

This is unseasonably cold for the Easter weekend egg hunt..the kids have to go hunting for eggs in the snow.

That's what I'm saying dance girl. That for us, (I'm in the midwest US), winter is starting and ending later each year.

"Contemporary meteorology takes winter to be the months of December, January, and February in the Northern Hemisphere and June, July, and August in the Southern Hemisphere. However, many cultures in Europe and East Asia consider winter to begin in November."

Here, I think winter is closing in on February, March, and April.

OK. Sorry Kendor, I misunderstood you.
Yes, we did have a very late start to winter here too. In fact I think we got all the way to the end of December with a hardly any snow.
Now it is colder here at Easter than it was on Christmas day!
