Good Question there PP
Aaahm, I would definitely have to check up for the first half of your Question;
however,
the second bit is simple enough.
When something as magnanimous as lightening hapens
that it shakes up the skies and tears apart the molecules,
well, such a dramatic reaction is bound to result in an explosion!
Okies, before I get too sketchy and non serious,
let me tell in simpler words:
On rainy days usually, when the clouds are saturated with water vapours
being overly heavy they tend to collide with each other;
the charge (
electrons&ions) surrounding the body of these clouds, thus, strike too
and spark off in a Highly Volatile reaction (which results in the lightening we see) and also
this great explosion includes wastage of energies (or giving out of energies)
which is in the form of SoundEnergy (or mere noise to my ears...)
Hope I've Helped,
